Justin Bieber Revisits ‘Baby’ Video Set in Symbolic 2025 Comeback Moment

Justin Bieber’s 2025 return to music was a poignant, symbolic gesture that resonated deeply across social media. The 31-year-old global pop star revisited the original filming locations for his 2010 breakthrough hit, “Baby.” This created a powerful full-circle moment during a period of significant professional resurgence.

Bieber shared the experience on Instagram. He posted a video of himself walking through Universal CityWalk and the Lucky Strike Lanes bowling alley in Los Angeles. These are the precise spots where the iconic “Baby” music video was filmed over a decade ago. In the clip, dressed casually, he performed the song’s famous chorus a cappella. He was accompanied by a friend’s off-camera beatboxing.

This nostalgic return holds substantial weight given Bieber’s current career phase. The visit coincides with the successful launch of “Swag,” his first new album in four years. While the album debuted at No. 2 on the charts marking the first time a Bieber album did not open at No. 1—it achieved the biggest streaming debut of his entire career. This demonstrates a deeply engaged and expanding fanbase.

The moment stands in contrast to the narrative that dominated headlines in recent years. Before this comeback, public attention often focused on Bieber’s personal struggles, including health-related tour cancellations and intense media scrutiny. Many observers had prematurely framed him as a former teen idol past his peak.

Returning to the “Baby” set now feels less like a nostalgia stunt. It seems more like a deliberate reflection on growth. The song represents the explosive start of his journey, recorded when he was a teenager thrust into unprecedented fame. Revisiting the location as a 31-year-old artist in control of a mature and ambitious new album underscores the considerable personal and professional distance travelled.

Bieber’s path to this point was nonlinear. Following his 2021 hit “Peaches,” music took a backseat as he prioritised health and well-being. This included cancelling a substantial portion of his Justice world tour. His 2025 resurgence, therefore, mirrors an athletic comeback—a return to form after a period of doubt and setbacks.
