Former Supreme Court judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has formally resumed legal practice after stepping down from the bench, marking a new phase in his professional career.
Following his retirement, Justice (retd) Mansoor Ali Shah has returned to active legal practice and reentered academia. He said his work will now centre on international and domestic arbitration, as well as strategic legal consultancy.
In a public message, he confirmed that he is currently serving as a professor at Lahore University of Management Sciences. He described teaching as a core focus of his work during this phase.
Justice Shah also announced upcoming teaching appointments at leading global law schools. In 2026, he will serve as an honorary professor at Yale Law School. In 2027, he will join the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School as a Bok Visiting Professor.
He emphasised that his transition back into practice does not change his core values. Justice Shah said his commitment to the rule of law, constitutionalism, integrity, and transparency remains unchanged.
