Actress Julia Fox clarified her sexual orientation, identifying as pansexual after a viral TikTok in July 2024 where she appeared to come out as a lesbian.
In an interview with Allure, Fox explained, “I’m pansexual; I could be attracted to anyone and anything,” dispelling earlier assumptions while shedding light on her evolving journey of self-discovery.
Fox’s initial TikTok, responding to a comment about “lesbians with boyfriends,” sparked speculation when she said, “Hey, that was me. I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys.” The 16-second clip led many to believe she identified as a lesbian. However, in Allure, she elaborated that she’s more attracted to the female body physically but can connect with a man’s mind, emphasising her “vibes-based” approach to attraction.

Fox, who shares a son with ex-husband Peter Artemiev, revealed she’s been celibate for over two years, a choice she attributes to prioritising her career and motherhood. She told Allure, “The way my life is, I can’t see why a man would be beneficial.” Reflecting on past friendships with women, she noted, “Looking back, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, we were in a relationship,’” but societal pressures delayed her queer realisation.
