Light to moderate rain fell across Karachi on Tuesday, hitting areas like Shahrah-e-Faisal, Tariq Road, Saddar, and M.A. Jinnah Road. Other spots, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Jamshed Road, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, University Road, Nazimabad, SITE Area, and Orangi Town, also got wet. The rain slowed traffic in some places but cooled down the city’s heat.
However, low-lying areas face risks of water buildup. Karachi’s drainage system often struggles with heavy rain, so city workers are on alert to clear drains and prevent flooding.
Postponing exams keeps students and staff safe during Karachi’s unpredictable monsoon. By sticking with online classes, JSMU ensures learning continues without risk. The city’s drainage problems show a need for better systems to handle rainy seasons.
