Jonah Hill claims to be an ardent fan of Kanye West and his music, so much so that he flew to Wyoming in 2018 just for a sneak peek of the rapper’s Ye album. However, much has changed, and Hill is reportedly embarrassed by West.
Kanye’s anti-Semitic comments were made towards the end of 2022, such as “going death con 3 on Jewish people” and praising Hitler. This and a now-deleted Instagram post mentioning Jonah Hill have contributed to Hill’s discomfort.
In late March, Ye posted an image of the movie 21 Jump Street (featuring Hill) and captioned it, “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled anti-Semite knowing Jesus is a Jew.” He concluded his unexpected tribute to the actor: “Thank you, Jonah Hill. I love you.”
RadarOnline cites an inside source who claims Hill wants no part in Kanye’s drama: “The last thing he wants is to get pulled into Kanye’s drama.”
The source elaborates that the Superbad actor is genuinely “embarrassed” by the rapper and has no intention of repairing their relationship. “If Kanye was hoping for a peace summit, he can think again. To be honest, Jonah’s embarrassed by it,” the source concluded.
