Islamabad: US Secretary of State, John Kerry, on Wednesday called Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters pertaining to Yemen crisis.

According to PM House spokesperson, both the leaders discussed “matters related to mutual interest”, however, sources said the PM apprised John Kerry of Parliament’s resolution as well as Arab coalition’s request for cooperation in Saudi-led Yemen campaign.

John Kerry lauded Pakistan’s efforts for resolution of Yemen crisis, sources said.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that Islamabad will “intensify” efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the Yemen conflict, after parliament unanimously voted to remain neutral in the conflict.
