Karachiites witnessed another banners inscribed ‘Jo mulk ka ghaddar hay, wo mout ka haqdar hai’ (traitors of the country deserve death) today (Wednesdays).

In reply to the Monday’s threatening banners that read: Jo quaid ka ghaddar hai, wo mout ka haqdar hai (Whoever is a traitor of the chief, deserves death) mounted supposedly by unidentified group ‘Janashine Qauid-e-Tehreek” (Successor of the Movement’s Leader), a new set of mysterious banners appeared today on the streets of Karachi.

The banners with threatening slogans ‘Jo mulk ka ghaddar hay, wo mout ka haqdar hai’ were put up in several areas including Shahrah-e-Faisal and I.I Chundrigar Road near Tower purportedly from “Ahliyan-e-Pakistan” (Citizens of Pakistan).

On Monday, amid an ongoing crackdown against criminals in the city, unknown people put up threatening banners in the security Red Zone, including at the green belt of the Sindh High Court. Such banners were also placed at Regal Chowk near Saddar.

The banners, purported to have been up by “the heirs” of MQM founder Altaf Hussain, read: “Traitors to the Quaid-e-Tehreek deserve death.”

Sindh Inspector General of Police AD Khawaja took notice of the banners and their content displayed by miscreants and directed the Karachi’s additional IG and all DIGs to immediately remove them and take action against those responsible.

Speaking to media Wednesday, MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar said banners were being placed by unknown persons and political parties had to be empowered for peace in Karachi.
