Jennifer Lopez has remained silent regarding the serious legal allegations against her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently awaiting trial on charges including sex trafficking.
As public intrigue grows about her awareness during their relationship from 1999 to 2001, Lopez has yet to make a public statement. Despite repeated inquiries by the media during public appearances, such as a film screening for “Unstoppable” and a dinner in Los Angeles, she has not responded to any questions concerning Combs.
Recently, during a fan event, a spectator questioned Lopez about her thoughts on Combs as she was exiting. Captured footage shows Lopez walking past without acknowledgement, accompanied by her bodyguard.
This ongoing silence is notable at a time when Combs faces intense scrutiny, with his court cases shedding light on his previous connections.
Lopez is not alone in avoiding commentary on Combs’ legal issues. Kevin Hart, a previous associate of Combs, also refrained from discussing his past interactions with Combs, particularly related to Combs’ “Bad Boy” parties, labelling such inquiries as “wrong.”

In another incident, former Playboy model Rachel Kennedy recounted her unsettling experience at one of Combs’ “Freak Off” parties, where Jennifer Lopez’s music video played. Kennedy described the atmosphere as “creepy” and mentioned overhearing a phone conversation between Combs and Lopez in 2000, which suggested her inclusion in his social circle.
Despite these associations, no one has implicated Lopez in any of Combs’ alleged misconduct or named her in any legal actions. However, Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing several of Combs’ alleged victims, hinted that more revelations involving “powerful people” could surface, proclaiming, “The day will come when we will name names other than Sean Combs… The names will shock you.”
Authorities are holding Combs without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He faces multiple civil cases and a federal investigation for charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. His trial, scheduled for May 2025, is expected to draw significant media attention. As the trial nears, individuals linked to Combs, including Lopez, keep their distance from the escalating scandal.
