Jennifer Lopez returns with a vengeance on her first full-length album since 2014.
Lopez posted a post on Instagram teaser in which she re-creates the appearance from her 2002 album cover and progressively transforms it into the current J. Lo.
In the footage, the Jenny From the Block singer wears a white dress and a soft pink beanie as the camera zooms in on her face, and she states, “This is me then.”
She then removes the cap and dons a glamorous ensemble consisting of a short corset top, a black leather jacket, and matching slacks. “Now, this is me,” she continues.
Following the teaser, the post’s description provides the album’s tracklist, and certain tracks imply that her love for Ben Affleck will also influence this album.
“This album is the most honest thing I have done, a culmination of who I am as a person and an artist,” she said. “People think they know things about what happened to me along the way — but they have no idea, and a lot of times, they get it so wrong. There’s a part of me that was hiding a side of myself from everyone.”
