Renowned singer Jawad Ahmad and his associates attacked the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) team after discovering that his wife’s beauty parlour had stolen electricity in Lahore.

Police in Johar Town, Lahore, have registered a first information report (FIR) against Jawad Ahmad and four associates for allegedly attacking a LESCO inspection team. The FIR, lodged by LESCO SDO Muhammad Asghar, details that routine checks revealed irregularities with the electricity meter at a beauty parlour owned by Ahmad’s wife.
The incident escalated when Ahmad’s wife reportedly called him after the LESCO team discovered the meter issue. After arriving in a black van with his colleagues, Ahmad forcibly removed the electricity meter from LESCO staffer Shahid Khan. He handed it to his associate, Adeel, who fled with the meter.
The FIR states that tampering with the electricity meter caused major financial losses to the national exchequer and hindered the LESCO team’s duties. After the altercation, injured LESCO staff were hospitalized.
