The Government of Japan has officially announced the MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship 2026 for Pakistani teachers. The programme offers a valuable opportunity for educators to pursue professional training and research in school education at Japanese universities.
According to the announcement, selected candidates will join a non-degree Teachers Training and Research Programme at a recognised Japanese university. The programme does not lead to a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. Instead, it focuses on hands-on professional development and research in school education. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the programme.
The scholarship is funded by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). The programme usually begins in October, with Japanese language training provided before academic and research activities start. Most coursework and supervision take place in Japanese.

They must be born on or after April 2, 1991.
