Jamie Foxx, the renowned actor, faces serious accusations of sexual assault from an incident that reportedly took place eight years ago in New York City.
A lawsuit, as per documents reported by TMZ, claims the assault occurred at Catch NYC & Roof in August 2015. The plaintiff, who arrived at the rooftop lounge and bar around 11 PM, alleges noticing Jamie Foxx at a nearby table.
According to her account, around 1 AM, upon her friend’s request, Foxx agreed to take a photo with them. She describes Foxx as appearing intoxicated, making comments about her appearance and physical attributes.
The plaintiff alleges that Foxx then forcibly moved her to the back area of the rooftop. There, he is accused of inappropriately touching her under her top and, later, more intrusively, inside her pants.
The incident reportedly left the plaintiff with injuries requiring medical treatment and causing emotional distress.
The lawsuit includes claims of “sexual assault, abuse, assault, and battery” and seeks compensatory and punitive damages from Foxx, Catch NYC, and its employees. Representatives for Jamie Foxx have not yet responded to inquiries regarding these allegations.
