Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Engr. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has introduced a free laptop scheme for BanoQabil program graduates. Speaking at an aptitude test event for BanoQabil 4.0 in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, he emphasized the need for a unified education system for Pakistan’s 250 million citizens.
He advocated for “one system, one standard, and one syllabus,” highlighting the importance of equality in education. The event was graced by prominent figures, including educationist Dr. Ishrat Hussain, former cricketer Sadiq Muhammad, and actors Behroz Sabzwari, Ayaz Khan, and Zaiba Shahnaz, who encouraged the participants.
Focus on Youth and Emerging Skills
Engr. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman pointed out that 60% of Pakistan’s population is under 30, while 80% is under 40. He urged the youth to focus on developing emerging skills rather than considering emigration. He stressed the vast potential of IT-based exports, describing the BanoQabil program as a transformative initiative.
Over the past two years, more than 48,000 students have completed BanoQabil courses. He assured me that JI is actively assisting graduates with job placements.
