Jake Paul delivered a brutal knockout, defeating Mike Perry before his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson. His combinations were effective throughout the night in Tampa Bay, and it seemed inevitable that Jake would secure the victory.
Despite some remaining sceptics, Jake Paul demonstrated his prowess again, with Mike Perry experiencing the impact firsthand. In the cruiserweight division bout in Tampa Bay, Paul showcased his skills in an 8-round boxing match that concluded early.
During the fight, the YouTuber knocked the former mixed martial arts and bare-knuckle fighter to the ground three times, with the final knockdown securing his victory by knockout. Throughout the night, Paul consistently showed a powerful right hand.
Paul maintained a strong position from the start, although he felt the fight could have ended sooner. A powerful right punch brought Perry to the ground in the first round, though he managed to stand again. By the second round, it appeared Perry was making a comeback, but it was only a matter of time for Paul.
Jake Paul controlled the remainder of the fight. Perry started strong in the third round, but his condition deteriorated after sustaining a cut under his right eye, and Paul’s heavy blows reduced his stamina. Jake dominated the fourth round, and Perry struggled, barely saved by the bell as Paul landed heavy punches just before the round ended.
In the fifth round, Paul continued with a series of jabs, and the match concluded in the sixth with a strong combination. At the 1:12 mark, Paul landed a significant one-two punch hook, knocking Perry down for the third and final time.
With this victory, Paul increased his wins to 10, with 7 by KO and only one loss in his professional career. He acknowledged Perry’s resilience, stating, “He’s a tough man. Respect to Mike Perry. He’s the king of violence.” He added, “I did put him down, and he survived. Mike Tyson, you’re next, November 15 on Netflix.”
Paul also revealed that he fought with a swollen and “basically broken” knuckle but affirmed it wouldn’t delay his preparation for the upcoming November fight. “It didn’t delay this fight… it won’t delay the Tyson fight.”
