ISPR confirms forwarding six names for COAS, CJSC to Ministry of Defence

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that it had forwarded the names of six lieutenant generals for selecting the army’s two top slots to the Ministry of Defence. 

“GHQ has forwarded the summary for selection of CJCSC and COAS, containing names of six senior-most lt gens to Ministry of Defence,” tweeted director general ISPR

The ISPR stated after Defence Minister Khawaja Asif categorically rejected the rumors that the Prime Minister’s Office has not received any summary for the new chief of army staff appointment.
