A man behind injecting musical vigor to PTI public gatherings including the ongoing sit-in in Islamabad – Asif Butt alias DJ Butt – was arrested by police last night over undeclared grounds.
Police launched a ‘crackdown’ on marchers in sector G-6 of the capital and nabbed several people including DJ Butt and activists of Majlis-e-Wehdat-e-Muslimeen and Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
Spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shireen Mazari has confirmed that the Islamabad police have arrested DJ Butt and many of the PTI workers from the restaurant in Islamabad today.
Shireen Mazari has condemned the unlawful arrests of its workers and supporters and has demanded to release them immediately.
Being associated with PTI DJ Butt is known to be the zeal of the PTI marches, rallies and sit-in processions as he is the man behind the music played at all PTI events.
DJ Butt has been working as official sound engineer of the PTI since 2011.
