A local holiday has been announced in Islamabad on Friday, December 26, following the arrival of a high-level foreign delegation in the federal capital.
Additional District Magistrate Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf issued an official notification declaring a public holiday within the Islamabad Capital Territory.
According to the notification, offices providing essential services will continue to operate without interruption. These include the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the ICT Administration, the ICT Police, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), and all hospitals.

The order clarified that the holiday applies only within the revenue limits of the Islamabad Capital Territory, ensuring that critical civic, utility, and healthcare services remain fully functional during the day.
