The Islamabad High Court has mandated a compensation payment of PKR 30 million to the father of a citizen from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who has been missing for 15 years.
In an IHC’s landmark ruling, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb also issued orders for the immediate registration of a kidnapping case against Colonel Mujahid Hussain, the former commandant of the Mehsud Scouts FC.
Additionally, the court directed that immediate security measures be provided to the family of the missing individual, Haroon Muhammad, enhancing their protection amid ongoing legal proceedings.
The IHC’s decision underscores the court’s commitment to addressing cases of enforced disappearances and ensuring justice for the affected families.
