Iran’s oil ministry issued a statement on Wednesday that Pakistan is obliged to complete a major pipeline project which would allow Iran to export gas. The statement also emphasizes on the necessity to fulfill the contract’s obligations.
The response came a day after Pakistan’s oil minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s statement that work on the pipeline is not possible because of sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union on Tehran over its controversial nuclear drive.
