Interpol has officially placed Mujahidullah on its most wanted list, identifying him as the prime suspect in the murder of Asma Rani, who tragically lost her life shortly after the accused fled the country.
Mujahidullah became the focus of an international manhunt after he escaped overseas following the murder of Asma Rani. In response to his flight from justice, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) police sought the assistance of Interpol to facilitate his capture.
Asma Rani, a third-year medical student at Ayub Medical College, was murdered in Kohat on January 27. Following her death, the local police swiftly acted, apprehending Mujahidullah’s brother, Sadiqullah Afridi, along with two other suspects on February 7 as part of the investigation.
The involvement of Interpol marks a significant step in the pursuit of justice for Asma Rani, reflecting the seriousness of the case and the concerted efforts by law enforcement agencies both locally and internationally to address and curb such heinous acts.
