Former international footballer Abdul Jabbar died here early Tuesday morning. He was laid to rest at the Mewa Shah graveyard in Lyari at 11am. He was the teammate of former popular international striker Ali Nawaz Baloch. He represented Pakistan in the international circuit in 1970s. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and Sindh Football Association (SFA) expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the player, who was also a key player of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).“He was a fine player. His death is a big loss to the Pakistan football,” PFF secretary Col Ahmed Yar Lodhi said.
