The Court of Appeals of the Judicial District of La Vega has issued an international arrest warrant for Daniel Hernandez, known professionally as Tekashi 6ix9ine, accusing him of assaulting two music producers in October 2023. Following the alleged incident, the Dominican Republic’s Public Ministry also executed a local arrest warrant against him.
The assault reportedly occurred at a recording studio in La Vega during the early hours of October 15. Tekashi and his entourage allegedly attacked two music producers, including Nelson Alfonso Hilario Garcia, after a confrontation involving his girlfriend, Yailin.
Producer Diamond La Mafia said Tekashi disrupted the studio, attacking his producers and damaging equipment. He also allegedly issued threats over a video call, claiming he was armed. The Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that Hilario Garcia sustained serious injuries to his head and face.
Diamond La Mafia indicated that the motive behind the assault was Tekashi’s jealousy over his relationship with Yailin.

This incident is part of Tekashi’s series of legal challenges. Just a few months later, authorities in the Dominican Republic charged him with domestic abuse. In January, officials detained him in a Santo Domingo jail, marking his first arrest on these charges. However, he previously admitted to a history of domestic violence from 2011 to 2018 during a plea deal with the New York City government at a pre-trial hearing in 2019. As part of the plea deal, he pleaded guilty to nine federal charges in a racketeering case, leading to a reduced sentence.
In August 2023, Florida authorities booked Tekashi into a Palm Beach County jail after he failed to appear in court for driving on a suspended license. He secured release a few hours later. Additionally, in March of the same year, a group assaulted Tekashi at a Florida gym.
