Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan upped the ante and said earlier today that his party’s demand has now gone beyond a vote recount in four constituencies and it now wants the whole general elections held on May 11, 2013 to be audited.
Imran Khan welcomed Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari’s endorsement of PTI’s demand for a vote recount.
He said the incumbent government has completely failed in delivering on its promises it had made in the run-up to last year’s elections.
He said Nawaz Sharif had promised to rid country of loadshedding but after coming to power his government further aggravated the energy crisis. “They doubled the price of electricity and forced the people to bear longer duration of power outages,” he added.
