A satirical cartoon-style video created by an Indian media outlet has gone viral, offering a humorous critique of US President Donald Trump while highlighting the close relationship between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin during Putin’s official state visit to India.
The animated video depicts Modi and Putin riding a motorcycle together, accompanied by a “friendship” song. The lyrics, sung by Modi in the video, state: “We will never break this friendship. We will never leave your side, it doesn’t matter how many difficulties come in our way.” The song also references India’s defiance of US pressure, adding, “No one can stop the delivery of S-400 missile defence to India.”

The video specifically targets points of friction in US-India relations under Trump. It portrays President Trump as a petrol pump attendant at a US fuel station, with a Russian fuel pump positioned beside it. When Modi stops to refuel, he chooses the Russian dispenser, causing the animated Trump to react with fury.
This scene is a clear satire of Trump’s repeated public criticisms urging India to cut its purchases of Russian oil amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. The accompanying lyrics reinforce the message: “We will continue making deals, and will never bow to any (U.S.) pressure.”
The video also indirectly references the economic dimension of the strained ties, alluding to the 50 per cent tariff imposed by the Trump administration on Indian exports to the United States.
The viral clip creatively encapsulates the complex geopolitical triangulation between India, Russia, and the United States, using satire to comment on India’s strategic autonomy and its enduring defence and energy partnership with Moscow despite Western objections.
