On a cross-border attack from Afghanistan into the Chaman area of Balochistan on Sunday, one Frontier Corps soldier accepted death, and two more were injured.

According to Levies authorities, Afghan security officials opened fire on FC soldiers while on duty on the Pakistani side of the Bab-e-Dosti near Chaman.

One FC soldier was martyred, and two were wounded as a consequence of gunshots fired at them during an exchange of gunfire between security officers of the two countries.

Following the event, Pakistani officials requested a truce with the Afghan government. Meanwhile, Bab-e-Dosti has been blocked from all commerce and foot traffic.

During a flag meeting between the two countries’ officials, Pakistani authorities underlined that the friendship gate would stay closed until the assailants were handed over to them.

On the other hand, Afghan officials believed that unidentified terrorists posing as Taliban assaulted Pakistani security forces.
