The federal government has released photos of the facilities provided to former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adaila Jail to counter claims of solitary confinement in Adiala Jail.
The release photos depict an array of amenities provided to Khan, differing vastly from standard prison conditions.
Authorities responded to Khan’s allegations, presented during a May 30th court hearing via video link, where he expressed being isolated and restricted from meeting his legal team.
The images submitted to the court show Khan’s jail cell equipped with an exercise bike, a stretching belt, various books, and a separate kitchen. Additionally, he enjoys a special menu, a personal gallery for walking, an LED screen, a room cooler, and a study table that is unattainable by the average prisoner.
The government’s submission included a comprehensive list of visitors Khan has received, aiming to demonstrate his privileges’ extent further. The documentation was part of a broader effort to clarify the conditions under which the PTI founder is detained, suggesting the possibility of appointing a judicial officer to verify these facts independently.
