As confirmed by his lawyer, former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, is set to testify before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating the Jinnah House vandalism case. He is accused of abetting those who damaged and burned the residence during protests following his arrest by the National Accountability Bureau in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
Khan will provide his statement at 4 pm at Lahore’s Qilla Gujjar police headquarters. In related news, the hearing of the Toshakhana case against Khan has been postponed to July 17 at the request of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The case alleges that Khan deliberately concealed details about gifts he retained from the Toshaskhana during his tenure as prime minister.
