Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan voiced concerns over the national cricket team’s disappointing performance in the ICC Champions Trophy.
Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, relayed his sentiments to the media following a recent discussion. Imran Khan pinpointed the root of the problem as the non-merit-based appointments within the cricket administration, specifically targeting Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

He was notably upset with the leadership under Naqvi, criticizing his lack of cricketing experience and questioning his qualifications for managing the sport’s national interests.

He further noted that in light of the poor performance, a respectable leader would have resigned, a step Naqvi had yet to take.
