Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), wrote a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi while he was in Adiala Jail. The letter was delivered to the Supreme Court on Thursday, September 18, 2025, by his sister, Aleema Khan, who was accompanied by their other sisters.
In the letter, Khan expressed that he and his wife, Bushra Bibi, feel that the doors of justice are closed to them. He has been isolated in his cell for 772 days, which he described as a “cage” measuring only 9 by 11 feet. Furthermore, Khan mentioned that he is facing over 300 political cases, a record number in Pakistan’s history.
Khan worried about Bushra Bibi’s health. He said doctors cannot check her. He asked the CJP to notice his situation. Khan wants his and his wife’s rights protected.
