Imran Khan granted bail in the Toshakhana case after an Islamabad court approved his plea along with that of his wife, Bushra Bibi.
The PTI founder was also granted bail in five additional cases, including those related to attempted murder and alleged defamation of the army.
According to the FIR, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were accused of committing fraud by presenting a fake receipt that allegedly showed the sale of Toshakhana gifts, including watches and cufflinks. The complaint claimed the receipt contained forged signatures.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka observed that the prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence against the accused. The court granted bail against surety bonds of Rs 50,000 each.
Judge Majuka also approved bail for Imran Khan in five other cases, subject to similar surety bonds.
In the case concerning alleged defamation of the army, the court ruled that no material had been placed on record proving that the petitioner committed the offence.

The FIR stated that Imran had made remarks on a private news channel, alleging that certain army officers wanted him defeated and harmed. The complainant claimed the remarks caused unrest.
Regarding the attempted murder case linked to protests, the court noted that the prosecution failed to establish that demonstrations were organised under Imran’s direction or that he was present at the protest sites.
Imran Khan has been in jail since August 2023 and faces multiple cases filed after his removal from office through a no-confidence motion in April 2022.
