On June 7, 2025, Barrister Gohar, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, expressed strong confidence that party founder Imran Khan will secure bail on June 11. This date is crucial in the ongoing Al-Qadir Trust case. Gohar’s comments indicate a significant moment for PTI’s political strategy, including launching a nationwide protest movement.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has postponed hearings on the petitions filed by Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, seeking to suspend their sentences in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case. The new hearing date is June 11, 2025. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requested this delay for additional preparation time.
The case accuses Khan and Bibi of accepting land as a bribe to launder £190 million. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party denies this charge, claiming the allegations are politically motivated. Gohar has dismissed rumours of internal rifts within the party and reaffirmed PTI’s unity.

Gohar announced that PTI will work with opposition parties to launch a nationwide protest movement. Khan, detained in Adiala Jail since 2023, will lead the movement from custody. Senator Ali Zafar, tasked with planning the protests, clarified that demonstrations will occur across Pakistan—not just in Islamabad—as Khan believes he is being “pushed against the wall.”
Gohar condemned Bushra Bibi’s detention, alleging it’s a tactic to pressure Khan, with no formal charges filed. He also revealed PTI’s finalised budget strategy, with a major press conference set for June 9, 2025, to outline opposition plans. The Bushra Bibi detention and Al-Qadir Trust case remain contentious, with PTI vowing to appeal.
