Imran Khan, Founder Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has approved Omar Ayub’s resignation as the party’s General Secretary.
Promptly addressing the vacancy, Imran Khan appointed Salman Akram Raja, a distinguished lawyer and party stalwart, as the new Secretary General of PTI.
Although Omar Ayub has stepped down from his party role, he will maintain his position as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, ensuring his ongoing influence within PTI.
Senator Shibli Faraz, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, presented Ayub’s resignation to Imran Khan during a visit to Adyala Jail, highlighting forthcoming organizational adjustments within PTI as instructed by Imran Khan.
