Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has apologized to the people of Karachi for inconvenience caused to them due to ongoing protests in the metropolis today (Friday).
Talking to media prior to his departure from his Bani Gala residence for Karachi, the PTI chief stated that the government would not have come to the table of talks if his party had not increased pressure on it.
Dialogue should resume from where the process was stopped, he added.
Imran Khan said he wants transparent investigation of rigging in 2013 general elections. National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) should round up those who have used same fingerprints on more than fifty votes.
Democracy won’t prevail until elections are held in a transparent manner, he said.
He said that PTI is holding a peaceful protest but the government would face consequences if any worker tortured. The government will be responsible if situation like Faisalabad and Jhelum repeated in Lahore on December 15.
Khan said he is fighting for the future of Pakistan.
