Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan is all set to issue show-cause notices to at least five provincial assembly members for protesting against the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government.
Insiders familiar with the matter said on Saturday PTI’s provincial leadership sent a report against five PTI members, who walked out and protested in the provincial assembly during the budget session on June 14.
The five members included Shakeel Ahmad of Malakand, Yassen Khalil of Peshawar, Jamshed Khan Mohmand of Mardan and Abdul Karim Khan of Swabi.
PTI worker said the members had raised a voice for the rights of people and party.
“There was a clear degree of discrimination,” he said. “Some members were allotted a number of development schemes in their constituency while others were deprived of their rights.”
He said they promised voters during the election they would facilitate them and would initiate development work in their respective areas. He added if Imran issued show-cause notice to them, PTI members would clarify their position and would inform him about their grievances.
