A three-member team of Scotland Yard investigators arrived in Islamabad earlier today in connection with the ongoing investigation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Imran Farooq’s murder in London in 2010.
Sources told the media that the London police team arrived in Islamabad on a flight via Dubai this morning and is expected to hold meetings with Interior Ministry and FIA officials.
Earlier in June a three-member team visited in Islamabad to partake in a joint interrogation of one of the alleged accused, Moazzam Ali Khan.
Dr. Imran Farooq, 50, a founding member of the MQM, was stabbed and beaten to death in Edgware, northwest London, as he returned home from work on September 16, 2010.
