The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Team features Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan among the tournament’s standout performers after a record-breaking campaign with the bat.
The International Cricket Council announced its Team of the Tournament on Monday. A panel of experts selected the side after reviewing the competition’s best performers.
Farhan earned his place despite Pakistan’s inconsistent run, which ended in the Super Eight stage. He scored 383 runs in seven matches, the most by any batter in a single T20 World Cup edition. He also became the first player to score two centuries in a single tournament.
India’s Sanju Samson also made the XI after leading his team’s title-winning campaign with key knocks in the knockout stage. He won the Player of the Tournament award after producing major scores against West Indies, England and New Zealand.
Ishan Kishan joined him after making a strong impact at the top of the order. His aggressive batting gave India momentum, and his 77 against Pakistan stood out as one of the tournament’s innings.
South Africa captain Aiden Markram earned selection after leading from the front in both batting and leadership. Hardik Pandya strengthened the side as a proven all-round option, while England’s Will Jacks also made the team after impressive finishing displays and useful off-spin.
Jason Holder added depth with his pace bowling and lower-order hitting. His all-round displays made him one of the most effective players in the tournament.
The bowling attack features Jasprit Bumrah, Lungi Ngidi, Adil Rashid and Blessing Muzarabani. Bumrah finished as the joint leading wicket-taker and delivered a decisive spell in the final against New Zealand. Ngidi impressed with control and variation, while Rashid stood out as the only specialist spinner in the XI.

The final lineup includes Sahibzada Farhan, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Aiden Markram, Hardik Pandya, Will Jacks, Jason Holder, Adil Rashid, Jasprit Bumrah, Lungi Ngidi and Blessing Muzarabani.
