Fishermen from the Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi, snagged a rare, enormous Indo-Pacific sailfish, also known as “ghora fish.”
The fish became entangled in the fishermen’s net while searching for a fresh catch at sea.
According to Ibrahim Hyderi’s Coastal Media Centre, the fish was roughly 10 feet in length, and it was the first time that fisherman had caught a “ghora fish.” of this size.
The media center said that the fish were returned to the ocean by the fishermen.
Muazzam Khan, Technical Advisor for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), stated that the Indo-Pacific sailfish is not threatened and is abundant in Pakistani waters.
