On the 75th death anniversary of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the nation honours his relentless efforts, vision, and leadership that steered the Muslims of the Subcontinent to independence, stated caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on Monday. Kakar emphasized that without Jinnah’s steering presence, the aspiration of establishing an autonomous Muslim state in the Subcontinent would have remained unfulfilled. Jinnah championed not only the rights of minorities threatened by majority dominance but also sought to reclaim the distinct economic, social, and cultural identity of the Muslims, he noted.

In a message from the PM House, Kakar reflected on the exemplary life led by the Quaid, characterized by staunch principles, constitutional struggle, and an unwavering political vision founded on faith, unity, and structure. He reiterated that in the nation envisioned by the Quaid, every individual would stand equal, unbound by linguistic, religious, or numerical distinctions.

During the challenging times the country navigates, Kakar underscored the critical necessity of adhering to Jinnah’s principles. He urged citizens to unite, setting aside their differences, and commit to the nation’s progress with determination and organization. Committing to Jinnah’s ideology, he argued, is the highest form of tribute to the founder, fostering an Islamic welfare state embodying his cherished principles.

In conclusion, Kakar beckoned the citizens to reaffirm their dedication to the visionary leader’s objectives, fostering a landscape of opportunity and prosperity that honours the diversity of each constituent unit, aligned with Jinnah’s 14 points that are the bedrock of Pakistan’s constitution. He prayed for higher honours for the father of the nation and for the citizens to be endowed with the fortitude to abide by Jinnah’s golden principles.
