Honour recently introduced its newest foldable phone, the Magic V2, becoming the thinnest foldable device in the market. Its thickness measures only 9.9mm when folded (4.7mm when unfolded), and weighs a mere 231 grams, positioning the Magic V2 as the new benchmark for portability. This surpasses the previous record holder, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which measured 11.2mm in its folded state and weighed 262 grams.
Unique Features and Design
The Magic V2 stands out with a one-of-a-kind gearless unibody hinge mechanism featuring a 3D-printed titanium alloy cover developed by Honor. The hinge component uses custom short screws, ensuring a smooth folding experience. The device lacks an official ingress protection rating, but a P2i coating protects all internal components against accidental water splashes.
The device showcases a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED primary screen, offering a resolution of 2,156 x 2,344 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It includes a 6.43-inch cover screen with a 10-bit OLED panel, offering a resolution of 2,376 x 1,060 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Running on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13, the Magic V2 ensures a seamless software experience.
