Incidents of honey traps are on the rise in Lahore following the recent case involving renowned writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, another young man who has fallen victim.

In the most recent incident, a woman, along with her accomplices, not only robbed the young man but also subjected him to violence in Lahore’s Kahna area.

A girl named Kainat befriended a young man named Hamza over the phone and invited him to bring breakfast to her apartment. When Hamza arrived, three individuals followed him inside. The assailants attacked Hamza, stole cash, and took his mobile phone while the woman recorded the violence to blackmail him.

According to the police, Hamza had befriended Kainat, who lured him into a honey trap and invited him to her flat. Based on Hamza’s complaint, a case has been registered at the Kahna police station. Kainat and two other suspects have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.

In a related case involving renowned drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has sent the accused woman to jail. The court rejected the request for further physical remand and sent the arrested woman to judicial remand.

The police presented the accused woman in court after completing a two-day physical remand, with a case registered at the Sundar police station. The police had requested a 15-day physical remand, stating that they needed to recover the rental agreement for the suspect’s house.
