Honey Singh has consistently made headlines, most recently through his documentary, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, now available on Netflix.
In an interview with India Today, the rapper-singer recently spoke about his decade-long conflict with fellow artist Badshah.
During GraFest 2024, Badshah paused his performance to express a desire to mend fences with Honey Singh, stating, “There was a phase in my life where I held a grudge against one person, and now I want to put that behind me – that person is Honey Singh.”

Honey Singh commented, “He is one of those who spit and then lick it back; just watch, he’ll flip again.” This statement came after years of public silence from Singh, who had stepped back from the limelight to address his health and addiction issues.
Badshah and Honey Singh’s Feud
When probing about Badshah’s peace gesture, Honey Singh elaborated, “People often ask me about my fight with Badshah. A fight implies involvement from both sides, but for 10 years, he alone attacked me, created songs mocking me, and even ridiculed my illness while I chose not to respond.”

Only in 2024, prompted by his fans’ encouragement, Singh chose to address these attacks. “My fans urged me to speak up, saying it was a matter of our dignity. Badshah had continuously spoken ill of me. Following their advice, I finally responded,” he explained. According to Singh, Badshah apologised and acknowledged his errors, but Singh remains wary, describing him as someone “who spits and then licks it back.”
Both artists started their careers with the rap group Mafia Mundeer but parted ways after a public fallout. The tension has persisted, with both artists taking jabs at each other in public.
