Early Monday, Hezbollah launched rockets at Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, injuring ten people in northern Israel, as confirmed by Israeli police and media. Hezbollah claimed it attacked a military base south of Haifa with “Fadi 1” missiles. Reports noted that two rockets hit Haifa on the Mediterranean coast, and five others reached Tiberias, approximately 65 km (40 miles) distant.
The assault resulted in property damage and several minor injuries, with some individuals needing hospital treatment. Surveillance footage recorded the impact in Haifa, which Reuters confirmed by comparing the scene with satellite imagery and existing records of the area’s building designs, business signs, trees, and road layout.
Further, the timestamp on the footage helped Reuters verify the date of the incident. In response, the Israeli military executed airstrikes on Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut. These strikes targeted command centres and intelligence-gathering infrastructure, causing secondary explosions that suggested the presence of weapons.
Additionally, the Israeli forces targeted Hezbollah’s weapon storage facilities in Beirut and other strategic locations in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa region, including a command centre and a rocket launcher.
