Islamabad: Streaming giant HBO Max has officially launched in Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in Warner Bros. Discovery’s global expansion. With this rollout, HBO Max now reaches over 100 countries, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Sri Lanka, and Ukraine.
Pakistani subscribers can now access the full HBO and Max Originals library, alongside blockbuster titles from Warner Bros, DC Universe, Harry Potter, and Discovery. The platform combines award-winning series, documentaries, family favourites, and Hollywood hits in one place.
Popular titles available to stream in Pakistan include Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The Penguin, and The Pitt, Superman and A Minecraft Movie, Entire franchises of Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and The Matrix
Discovery favourites such as Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush are also featured, along with animated classics like Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and The Amazing World of Gumball.
Iconic sitcoms Friends and The Big Bang Theory will join the catalogue in January 2026. As the home of HBO and Max Originals, the platform will debut IT: Welcome to Derry on October 26 (October 27 in Asia-Pacific).
Upcoming releases in the next few months include “M3GAN 2.0,” “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” and “Weapons.” These films highlight Warner Bros. Discovery’s strategy to deliver premium international entertainment to South Asian audiences.
Subscribers can stream while travelling in any country where HBO Max is available. Each account allows up to five personalised profiles, featuring custom avatars, tailored recommendations, a “Continue Watching” section, and offline download options.
