Harry Styles has officially launched a new musical era, releasing fresh material for the first time in four years and reigniting excitement among fans worldwide.
At midnight on Friday, January 23, the former One Direction member dropped Aperture, the lead single from his upcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which is scheduled for release on March 6.
The track debuted as an audio release, with the official music video set to premiere later the same day at 5:00 pm UK time.
Aperture was produced by Kid Harpoon, who previously collaborated with Styles on As It Was, the Grammy-winning hit from his 2022 album Harry’s House.
While the new song carries traces of Styles’ signature sound, it moves in a fresh direction. The electric synth-pop production introduces a more expansive, atmospheric tone.
In the lyrics, Styles explores themes of vulnerability and clarity. “It’s best you know / What you don’t, Aperture lets the light in,” he sings, using the camera term as a metaphor for emotional openness and perspective.
