Pacer Haris Rauf clinched the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s Player of the Month award for November 2024, as announced by the ICC on Wednesday.
During the Australian tour, the Pakistani pacer excelled, capturing ten wickets in three ODIs and leading his team to their first ODI series victory in Australia in 22 years.
Rauf concluded November with 18 wickets, outperforming India’s Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa’s Marco Jansen for the monthly award.
His standout performance occurred in the second ODI against Australia. With Pakistan down 1-0 in the series, Rauf delivered a commanding pace-bowling display in Adelaide, securing figures of 5/29.
This spell, Rauf’s second five-wicket haul for Pakistan, dismantled the hosts for just 163 runs, propelling Pakistan to a nine-wicket victory and levelling the series, according to the ICC.
In the series-deciding third ODI, Rauf added two more wickets to his tally and earned the Player of the Series title as Pakistan won 2-1.
Following the ODIs, Rauf claimed five wickets in three T20Is, including a four-wicket haul in Sydney, marking his fourth in T20Is.
Later in the month, during Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe, Rauf took three wickets in three ODIs, helping Pakistan win a 2-1 series comeback.
