In a video making rounds on social media, Inzamam ul Haq, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, made a surprising revelation about Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
According to Inzamam, Harbhajan was on the verge of converting to Islam following his interactions with Maulana Tariq Jameel. Maulana Tariq Jameel, a prominent Islamic scholar, frequently visited the Pakistan cricket team to perform Namaz, the Islamic prayer, with the team members.
During these visits, Harbhajan Singh met and interacted with him, leading to his deep interest in Islam.
A recent post on the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, features Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh responding to Inzamam ul Haq’s claim about his near conversion to Islam.
Harbhajan strongly refuted Inzamam’s statements, dismissing them as nonsensical. He questioned the claim’s credibility in his post by rhetorically asking, ‘Which drunk is talking?’ He emphatically declared his identity, stating that he is a ‘Proud Indian and Proud Sikh,’ thereby reaffirming his commitment to his heritage and faith.”
