Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Hammad Azhar and renowned TV anchor Shiffa Yousufzai deny marriage rumours.

Social media has recently been abuzz with marriage rumours involving PTI senior leader Hammad Azhar and renowned TV anchor Shifa Yousufzai, and both individuals have categorically denied these claims.

Shiffa Yousufzai addressed the rumours head-on, asserting, “Dear all… Let it be clear that I have not married anyone!” She revealed, “There is a social media campaign targeting me.” She also reflected on the broader societal context, stating, “This situation underscores the vulnerabilities of working women in a male-dominated Pakistan. I find myself repeatedly having to justify my existence.” This isn’t the first instance Shifa has been the target of such unfounded allegations.

She called upon social media platforms to remove the misleading content and urged users to refrain from participating in defamatory campaigns. Shifa expressed gratitude towards those who supported her during this challenging time.

Hamad Azhar took to Twitter to address the rumours, stating, “There is fake news circulating on social media regarding me. Plz report all such accounts & click baits. It is nothing but a distraction to divert us from our real goal of liberating Pakistan from tyranny. Report and then ignore. Thank you.”

He encouraged social media users to report and then disregard these fictitious stories, emphasizing that these attempts to smear their reputations would not divert them from their objectives.

The rumors began with journalist Najm-ul-Hassan Bajwa, who posted on the social media platform X, falsely claiming that a prominent PTI official from Lahore had remarried a female journalist. The post sparked unwarranted speculation and jokes, wrongly implicating Hamad Azhar.
