Qatar’s Hamad International Airport has again been named the World’s Best Airport for 2024, repeating its triumph from 2022.
Skytrax, a UK-based consultancy, announced in Frankfurt on Wednesday. This recognition comes after a comprehensive review and analysis of customer feedback from numerous airports worldwide.
According to CNN, Hamad International Airport was praised for its ultra-modern design, ease of navigation through its terminals, and extensive high-end shopping options.
The CEO of Qatar Airways Group remarked on the achievement, stating, “This year, Hamad International Airport celebrates its milestone tenth year of operations, and we are truly honoured that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the World for a third time.”
The prestigious award had previously gone to Singapore’s Changi Airport in 2023 and 2020, while Doha’s airport also topped the list in 2021. Hamad International Airport is known for offering unique amenities such as free city tours for passengers with long layovers, spa services, and a swimming pool in its Oryx Airport Hotel.
Most of the top 20 airports are in Europe, with notable mentions including Vienna, Madrid, and Istanbul. The list also features seven Asian airports, two of which are located in Tokyo, Japan.
