According to the government’s Hajj 2025 policy, each pilgrim must pay Rs200,000 with their application. After selection through a ballot, an additional Rs400,000 is due. The final payments must be completed by February 10, 2025.
The first instalment will be refunded minus an Rs50,000 deduction if a cancellation occurs. An Rs200,000 deduction will apply if the third instalment is unpaid, with no refunds issued after February 10, 2025.
Additionally, the current government policy has raised the compensation for the heirs of deceased pilgrims from Rs1 million to Rs2 million.
The ministry has also allocated 1,000 seats for hardship cases and 300 for labourers and low-income employees registered with the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) or the Workers Welfare Fund.
