The federal government has officially designated Gwadar Airport as an international facility.
International flights will operate from and arrive at Gwadar Airport with this designation. Additionally, it will serve as a hub for cargo transportation.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has released two notifications. Under section (9), the first declares Gwadar Airport an international airport. The second, under section (10), authorizes the processing of international passengers for both arrivals and departures at the airport.
